ICYMI: AmpUp Partners With Fleet Leader Holman 🤝
Earlier this summer, we announced a partnership with Holman. This collaborative effort is poised to leverage Holman’s industry-leading fleet management services and AmpUp’s EV charging technology to accelerate fleet operators’ transition to electric vehicles.
“As we continue to explore potential electrification opportunities with our customers, aligning with technology leaders such as AmpUp allows us to integrate at-home and public charging information with the full range of vehicle operating data we already capture, further streamlining the transition to EVs for fleet operators and delivering the insight necessary to make fully-informed strategic decisions.” said Emily Graham, Director of Sustainability, Holman.
“Holman’s automotive expertise and legacy in the industry is second to none and we’re extremely proud of the investment they’re making in our company as we continue on our mission to electrify transportation,” said Thomas Sun, CEO, AmpUp. “As more businesses transition their fleets to electric vehicles, we believe our intuitive technology will help organizations quickly scale smart charging solutions and make implementing electrification programs as seamless as possible for fleet operators.”

Supporting Michigan’s Clean Transportation Policies 🚍
As a company firmly committed to electrifying and decarbonizing the transportation sector, AmpUp is proud to sign onto Clean Fuels Michigan’s letter to federal legislators calling for the advancement of clean transportation policies. Clean Fuels Michigan, along with AmpUp and 26 other industry partners, called on lawmakers to reform the passenger EV tax credit, create a 45Y tax credit for commercial alternative fuel vehicles, invest in federal fleet electrification, and implement additional impactful clean transportation policies. These policies have impacts far beyond just the Midwest and would accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles, create clean manufacturing and technology jobs, and improve air quality everywhere electric vehicles are driven. We encourage our Michigan-based site hosts and EV drivers to support this legislation along with Clean Fuels Michigan, AmpUp and the other signatories and to contact your state legislators if you feel passionately about building the future of clean transportation.
How Federal Infrastructure Funds Could Bring An EV Charger Near You 🇺🇸
One of the major goals of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) enacted in November 2021 was to address critical failures in the United States’ existing infrastructure while also investing in an essential set of key infrastructure solutions for the future. A major step towards achieving this vision includes the allocation of $7.5 billion from the bill to support the buildout of a nationwide network of 500,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations by 2030 to ensure every EV driver has access to reliable, affordable and convenient charging options.
The $7.5 billion in funds will be administered by the new National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program, which was also established by the BIL, and will be utilized in the following ways:
Nearly $5 billion in funding will be made available by NEVI over five years through the funding of state programs. NEVI primarily seeks to see funding deployed for the addition of DC ultra-fast EV charging stations along designated interstate highways throughout the US.
The remaining $2.5 billion will be further broken into two $1.25 billion grant programs to support EV charger deployment in rural and disadvantaged communities. These funds will be allocated primarily on a discretionary basis with more details to be released at a later date.
