Electrifying Domino's Pizza | Find our chargers on Google Maps | Rich utility incentives
Now Charging: Domino’s Pizza 🍕
Domino’s has committed to adding 880 electric vehicles to their fleet by 2023 year end. AmpUp was thrilled to help one of Domino’s largest franchise owners manage charge stations to support their new EVs.
Why AmpUp?
Domino’s chose AmpUp since they needed an easy way to manage 50+ chargers across multiple locations in 4 different states. The stations came pre-configured to AmpUp, which helped reduce setup time and cost.
Outcome & Benefits
Domino’s is avoiding the guess work with EV charging by determining scheduling, access management, and reporting for each store with just a few clicks. All station settings can be managed in one dashboard, making it easy for the franchise owners to adjust pricing or access on the fly.
Host & Driver Experience Updates 🚙
Here is a quick summary of some of the biggest product updates since the Fall!
For Hosts 💻
Updated SaaS plans were released on January 1, 2023: Starter, Core, & Pro. Driver reservations are available in all plans; revenue collection and access groups were moved to Core and Pro; advanced features such as tiered and time of use pricing are now exclusive to Pro plan.
For a simplified driver and host experience, idle fees start collecting after the charging session limit has been reached. Session limits have been moved inside driver access groups along with idle fees - these are exclusive Pro plan features.
Demo environment with all plan types are available upon request.
For EV Drivers 📱
‘Pay my outstanding balance’ feature was released as the first step towards some exciting upcoming updates to the driver wallet and payments.
Google Maps now shows all publicly available AmpUp charging stations. Finding a charge station near you has never been easier. Plug and charge with AmpUp Mobile at a location near you, or simply charge without the app by scanning the QR code on any AmpUp station.

$400 Million in incentives available to Massachusetts customers 💰
2023 started off with a bang for Massachusetts as the state approved nearly $400 million for EV charging projects. Here’s what you need to know.
How much funding is available?
Roughly $400 million is available through Massachusetts' utility incentive programs. Local utilities National Grid, Eversource, & Unitil will cover up to 100% of the make-ready costs for Level 2 and DCFC chargers. Make-ready means the cost of electrical infrastructure and installation.
Who is eligible for funding?
Incentive funding is available to all property types, including workplaces, apartments, fleets, hotels, and municipalities. A breakdown of specific funding amounts by customer type can be found in our blog post.
How do I get started?
The utility programs are very close to free money. With this money, EV charging projects can deliver excellent returns, potentially increasing the cash flows (thus value) of the properties where installed. This comes from either generating revenue directly from EV charging (which AmpUp software enables) or from the amenity of charging reducing vacancies, increasing rents, or both.
If you want an expert’s help, we can provide it or you can find a local, qualified EV installer to help you out.
Wrapping up Distributech 2023 🔌
AmpUp attended Distributech International in San Diego earlier this month. Distributech is the leading electric utility event bringing together vendors and experts on a wide range of topics like solar, storage, EVs, advanced metering, and electrical control systems. Several AmpUp team members manned a booth in a new addition to this year's conference - renewable energy and EVSE interconnection.
We were elated to connect with utility representatives, consultants, DERMS companies, and clean tech advocates interested in advancing EV adoption and charger reliability for a more resilient electric grid. Join us next year for Distributech International 2024 in Orlando, Florida.
